I’m Jess, the photographer behind JShriver Images and mom to two boys, James and Hughie. I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember, but becoming a mom gave photographs a whole new meaning.
I know how quickly things change—the expressions, the tiny hands, the belly laughs, and all of the everyday moments you swear you’ll never forget. Photography gives us a way to hold onto a little piece of them.
That’s what I want to create for your family: photographs that feel genuine, comfortable, and unmistakably you.

Becoming a mom changed me in many ways, especially when it comes to photographs. I notice the little things more now—the way a child reaches for a parent's hand, the sweet expressions that disappear almost as quickly as they arrive, and the beautiful chaos that comes with raising a family.
It's also why I never expect kids to sit perfectly still. I know better.
My approach is relaxed, playful, and focused on connection. I'll guide you with fun prompts and games while keeping an eye out for the moments that happen naturally in between.
You don't need to know how to pose, and your kids don't need to be on their best behavior. We're here to have fun, be yourselves, and capture the moments you'll want to remember.
